Midge and Dot have already lived a lifetime of challenges in their short 2.5 years. Originally rescued from a hoarding situation, they were adopted into a rescue that was once reputable — but tragically, it later became unsafe. Their situation became dire when a massive fire broke out at that facility, claiming the lives of many animals. Midge and Dot were among the lucky few to survive.
When we heard about the fire and the conditions these girls had endured, we rushed to bring them to safety. They arrived underweight and in need of medical attention, but even through their fear, their gentle spirits began to shine through.
Midge has a charming neurological head tilt that makes her look perpetually curious — it’s just one of her many endearing quirks. Dot, true to her name, has the most beautiful spotted coat you’ve ever seen. While they were shy at first, with time, care, and lots of patience, both girls have blossomed into full-on belly rub aficionados. Their sweet, trusting natures are a true testament to their strength.
We’re thrilled to share that Midge and Dot have been adopted! While they’ll be boarding with us for the foreseeable future, they now have a loving mom who fully supports their care and visits them multiple times a week. These sisters are thriving — safe, loved, and finally living the peaceful life they deserve.
